I spent nearly a week with Sumer and his family and it was such an incredible experience. Nowhere else have I been in India that has so truly embodied the sentiment of “mi casa es su casa…“ the amount of generosity and warmth from not only the family but also from everyone else in the village was so special. It was sometimes hard to go for a walk as I was always getting invited in for a chai, food, or game with kids! The homestay provides such a beautiful space to reconnect with your surroundings, and I left with a sense of immense gratitude and peace from the time spent there (as well as a couple extra kilos from the incredible cooking). The rooms are beautiful and you can sleep under the stars at night if you choose. It’s a great place to experience a traditional Rajasthani village lifestyle and easily accessible from Jodhpur. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
