Ideal for travelers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Condo hotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but include kitchen facilities for a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). These suite-style accommodations usually have more than 10 units per property.
We’ve been travelling around Europe for 6 weeks and have stayed in many places. This chalet is gorgeous and has everything you need for self catering accommodation. Beatrice is the perfect host. The accommodation is 5 minutes walk from the train station and Grindelwald shops and restaurants. This accommodation is simply the best.
Good location for skiing near the piste and able to ski right back at the end of the day.
Lovely wooden chalet for two of us, clean and well equipped for post-ski self catering including a fondue maker and raclette maker.
This apartment is perfect if you want a low-cost option to stay in Grindelwald. The apartment was clean and satisfactory for our 2 night stay with all the amenities needed to cook full meals. A Coop is only a few minutes walk which is ideal when you are self catering. There are great window views of the surrounding scenery whilst also being a very short walk to the center of Grindelwald.
One bedroom is upstairs with a low ceiling, ideal for kids or adults who don't mind a tight squeeze.
If you are looking for a suburban, quiet and home-like place, this is absolutely for you. the view along the path is stunning, you could see the whole Grindelwald and Eiger. The staffs are very friendly and cheerful! They are very willing to help. I saw they do offer skiing shoes for rent but I am not sure. This place is also easy to go by bus 122. I always chose to walk down to the train station because the view is great.
Traditional, quaint and cute. Felt like I was visiting family, but with all the usual hotel services. The location is spot on, only a short walk away from the centre and with spectacular views; the balcony is a shared space too.
The staff are absolutely lovely, and the dog is an old gentle soul
a very comfortable, spacious, 2 bedroom apartment, well equipped for self catering, with a a large balcony with wonderful views of the mountains. Staff on site were very friendly and efficient.
- Good location barely 5 mins from the train station
- Friendly hosts
- Excellent views from the rooms
- Cleanliness of the rooms and a comforting home-like vibe
- Not elaborate but tasty breakfast with many home-made preparations
