Located in Augusta, Maine, this hotel is a 10-minute drive to the historic national monument, Old Fort Western. The hotel features a full-service spa and Cloud 9 restaurant. The room was spacious and comfortable. Parking was in the inner backyard and plentiful so I could sleep easy. Really liked the pool and steam room. They aren't the best by any means, but for this price I was more than happy to even have them.

Situated in the heart of Maine's Kennebec River Valley, the Maine Evergreen Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection is a contemporary boutique hotel featuring the Gallery of Maine Art and a cozy-chic evening... Great breakfast. Lovely place to unwind at the end of the day for a glass of wine. Staff was incredibly accommodating and kind.

Super 8 by Wyndham Augusta is located in Augusta, within 4.6 km of Old Fort Western and 16 km of Maine State Museum. The 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. The staff really welcoming. 😉

The room had a fridge, microwave, clean bathroom, excellent water pressure, and an overall clean, well-appointed appearance. I would drive out of my way to stay here again.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Comfort Inn Civic Center is situated in Augusta, 4.7 km from Old Fort Western and 20 km from Maine State Museum. Breakfast was very good. The bagels were fresh.

Soooo many thoughtful details! I’ve never stayed in a property where my every thought/need seemed answered. And so many luxuries (the shower is marble! There’s a full work desk & printer!) and creative (you have Alexa, essential oil diffuser, Himalayan salt foot rest!) there was also a window fan, a small fan by my bed…. Nice large smart tele. Walk to everything in town. The host communication was very thorough. They also have kayaks & bikes you can use! My only regret is that I wasn’t booked longer, Will definitely be back! I want to address a previous ‘sketchy outside’ comment that made us a bit nervous at first but turned out to be nothing at all. There are a couple of historic homes in the process of being quietly restored in the surrounding neighbourhood (the whole town is a historic district) so if you aren’t used to that they could look a bit messy,but the Widow Avery house itself is beautifully restored, just lovely.
