The approach to the home is spectacular-a long tree-lined drive with overhanging branches leading to a private estate with English gardens. Our bags were delivered before we arrived and the host family had arranged to have them delivered to our apartment. We had the "loft"- a second floor apartment built upon the garage which had also been built out into an apartment. The resident of the downstairs apartment came out to greet us and was a very charming and welcoming hostess. We found the apartment to have all of the amenities we needed and we were quite comfortable, The location on the rail trail was convenient for our travel but required a significant walk to get into town for dinnner.

Set on lovely private gardens, these log style chalets are located 3 minutes’ drive from Alexandra. There is a seasonal swimming pool and a BBQ area. super well thought out and great facilities looked even better than the photos in real life

Absolutely loved staying here! It was so calm and tranquil. The apartment was immaculate and the animals around the properly were amazing. The highland cows were beautiful and the mischievous chickens were so much fun! The hosts were incredibly attentive and replied quickly. Even though the apartment is attached to their house it felt really private. Would love to come back and stay again. Also such a bargain! ☺️ thank you!

John and Suzanne are amazing hosts. The accommodation is super cute and gives you a very warm feeling. Perfect for relaxing days in the region.

It was a superb experience. We especially enjoyed the wine tasting and the tour of the vineyard. We learnt a lot about wine and vineyard management.

Angela was there to meet us, showed us around the place. she also supplied us with great breakfast food and extras. plus stables from the pantry. Place was quiet, great views of their vineyard.
