The approach to the home is spectacular-a long tree-lined drive with overhanging branches leading to a private estate with English gardens. Our bags were delivered before we arrived and the host family had arranged to have them delivered to our apartment. We had the "loft"- a second floor apartment built upon the garage which had also been built out into an apartment. The resident of the downstairs apartment came out to greet us and was a very charming and welcoming hostess. We found the apartment to have all of the amenities we needed and we were quite comfortable, The location on the rail trail was convenient for our travel but required a significant walk to get into town for dinnner.

It was so calm and tranquil. The apartment was immaculate and the animals around the properly were amazing. The highland cows were beautiful and the mischievous chickens were so much fun! The hosts were incredibly attentive and replied quickly. Even though the apartment is attached to their house it felt really private. Would love to come back and stay again.
