Hotel in Nairobi ( 0.4 miles)
Located in Nairobi, 3.3 miles from Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Aero Club of East Africa has accommodations with a fitness center, private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a long time. Anybody booking a room is technically a club member for the duration of their stay, which was a very unique look into the world of aviation. If you are traveling alone and want to strike up a conversation in the hotel bar/restaurant while having airplanes taking off in the near distance, this is your home! I really love the golden age of aviation history this place has to offer and felt like part of the club for a day. Also, the hotel staff was extremely nice and accommodating and the entire place/room actually felt like it was part of history instead of the soul-less alternatives of big chain hotels. Highly recommend this place!

Nairobi offers an exciting blend of adventure, culture, and urban charm. The city is a gateway to thrilling wildlife experiences, with the Nairobi National Park providing a rare opportunity to see, giraffes, and rhinos against a backdrop of skyscrapers. The Giraffe Centre allow for intimate encounters with giraffes. Nairobi's rich cultural heritage is showcased in attractions like the Karen Blixen Museum and the Nairobi National Museum. The bustling Maasai Market is perfect for shopping for local crafts and souvenirs. Culinary delights abound, from street food stalls to high-end restaurants offering both local and international cuisine. Despite its busy urban environment, Nairobi has serene spots like the Karura Forest for nature walks and picnics but was flooded during my visit. The city's vibrant nightlife, friendly locals, and mix of traditional and modern experiences make Nairobi a captivating destination for any traveler. Be extra cautious of your safety and belongings while travelling, lurking danger of thefts always.
Nairobi, is a great place to visit. You should have a plan when you go as there is so much to do in this area of the country. Besides the safari, there are the tours to the mountain and farm region of the country and you need time to visit. We did the bus ride and came back to Nairobi each night, which is fine just make sure you give yourself some a day break once in a while.
Plenty of Indian restaurants, friendly people overall, Spinners Web, good number of malls, availability of entertainment joints as bars, reliability, availability and safety of Uber drivers, though have to be watchful of where and how you are going. Also, access to Massai Mara is a bonus.
Well, i travelled nearly 80 countries and Nairobi is not just one of the best cities i have visited but even the people of Nairobi and Kenya in general are the best people withe the best qualities and personalities i have ever seen out of all Africa and i mean it. For example, i stayed in Samira Homes Properties in kilimani one of the most luxurious appartements i have ever seen not just in kenya but also in Africa. Very closer to the Town you can eat in a restaurant called CJ's right in front of the building where i stayrd at Samira Homes in Kilimani it also have shopping centre called Yaya centre and many interesting places to visit. It has down stairs security plus nobody can access your property with out an ID can you imagine! So yes Nairobi and Kenya in general is a very wonderful place to be. And hey to everyone who wishes to visit Nairobi don't you miss out to stay at Samira Homes in kilimani i promise you will never want to come once you stay her property. All of her properties are located in the best locations of Nairobi and furnished with the highest and the best equipment very fashionable and loving and clean and classic too.
Nice and wonderful accommodation facilities that are affordable, an awesome game drive in Nairobi National Park, informative and well maintained National Museum in Nairobi, the Express way and SGR are nice.
One of the better African cities. Has 'western' hotels, clubs, shopping. June/July the weather is cool, often rainy, need a sweater. Traffic is an issue. Recommend staying in the heart of the Westlands so you can walk to everywhere. Recommend staying walking distance to Sarit or Westgate malls. Take the expressway to the airport with plenty of time. Overall, Nairobi is a wonderful city, nice people who will offer help to foreigners when lost.
