Just a 12-minute walk from Psarochoma Beach and 1.1 miles from Xanemos Beach, Kerasia's and Dora's garden features accommodations in Punta with a garden, barbecue facilities, and a shared lounge. Our stay at this house was unexpectedly eventful as we got caught in a very bad storm called Daniel for 4 days, but I must say, the spacious and well-equipped amenities truly saved the day. Despite the weather chaos outside the house provided a comfortable and stress-free stay. It was very clean and we also loved the garden which we enjoyed on our last day when the clouds cleared. The location was awesome, just a 30 mins walk from the old town in a silent area. Easy communication with the host and safe parking. Efcharistoume poly Dimitris, hope to return soon :)

The hosts were extremely helpful. Air con was not working so we were upgraded. Would love to stay again. Everything superb! One restaurant on the beach had closed but hopefully reopen when we return. Boat across to Skiathos town such a lovely experience. My sister’s first experience of skiathos and she fell in love with it!
If you have a car or moto, you can stay in Vassilias. If not, the hill is too high to climb it everyday. Or you can choose an accommodation near the sea, which is nice. From the top of the hill you have a nice sea view. Vassilias is a quiet place to enjoy, if the time is allowing. Here you can take the path for hiking through the mountain, it's a different experience than the beach. You can see and hear plenty of birds.
Megali Ammos is just beyond Skiathos town and is where the beach starts. This means that the beach is very close and so is the town - it is really easy to walk into town in the evening, choose a bar, restaurant or wander round and explore, and then get back to the hotel easily. Then there is a nearby bus stop to catch a bus to take you along the road to all the other beaches on Skiathos. In my opinion, Megali Ammos is the best place to stay. But Aghia Paraskevi is the best beach!
Busy along the front, lots of noisy bars, boat trips with music etc... preferred the quieter lanes, alleys and back streets where we found nice restaurants and bars with a good ambience and atmosphere. Nice shops on main street "papadiamanti" for clothes, beautiful decorative household items and jewellery. Lively streets but we stayed fairly close by and didn't hear much noise. The town beach is long and narrow with sun beds available 15-20 euros, and a selection of small tavernas for lunch. Can walk to it on foot from the harbour and old town in 15 mins max. There is also a bus from and to the airport which is only 2 euros (taxis between 10 and 20 euros depending how many people), and its 5 mins journey, literally.
Depending where you stay it can be a hard walk either to or from the beach up a steep hill. Beautiful beach well worth the walk . Good supermarket and bakery. A few lovely taverna/ restaurants. Water taxi useful for evening transfers to skiathos town, bus can be full at stops 10 & 9.
Like all Skiathos, the hotels are not very close to the water. As most of the hotels are situated up on the mountain the view is absolutely fantastic. The most beautiful view is from Skiathos Club Resort (hotel). Good food is to be found at Azzuro Terrace and of course, at Paradise Hotel (Anastasia Restaurant) A car is reccomended there... If you don't use a car, the trip could be less enjoyable😜
