Situated in Swansea and only 10 km from Grand Theatre, Cosy cottage in peaceful location features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. We had a 5-day holiday here in June 2024 which we absolutely loved! The cottage is in Gower, a short drive from Swansea Town and beach. The location is amazing and gives a great countryside feeling. The house itself is amazing and very well maintained. The garden outside is breathtaking and beautifully maintained. The owner Mr. Peter still stays in part of the house and is very warm and helpful and gave us lots of guidance for the area. The place is stocked with every comfort imaginable, and feels very cozy and homely. Downstairs included a large dining table and chairs, and a big TV in the lounge, lots of kitchen utensils with basics provided such as oil, milk, salt and pepper, tea, coffee etc. Upstairs included multiple rooms with lots of pillows, blankets, towels and toiletries, and a spacious bathroom. Given all this comforts, we had a wonderful relaxing holiday and will certainly come back again to this beautiful location!

Penclawdd is a great location to explore the Gower. It's a quirky place with a few pubs and cafes to eat and drink plus a very popular fish and chip shop. We liked the walks along the estuary and the views out to sea. It was great to watch the tides filling up the rivulets and, even though it rained most days during our stay, we managed to dodge the showers and get out and about. There's a nice walk along the old railway line which has the estuary to one side. The beaches and other attractions such as churches and castles aren't too far away and there seems to be plenty of parking on the estuary car park. A road runs through Penclawdd but it isn't noisy and didn't bother us on our stay. The Mumbles, the beaches and castles are all within easy reach. If you like bird watching it's perfect I would say, plus there are sheep and horses on the marshes too. The lanes are quite small at times so that's something to think about when planning your trip around the area if you have a bigger vehicle.
Lovely town, great independent shops and bars. Good beach and close to even more amazing ones! Lovely area, fabulous views and a great place for a break. Don’t forget to have a Joe’s ice cream….it’s heavenly!
Great location, perfect for exploring Three Cliffs and Oxwich Bay directly from the front door over the course of three days. Comfortable property, nicely refurbished. Space is quite tight but if you have a crate-trained dog who likes to sleep in it, there is a perfect gap under the stairs to fit the crate in! The Gower Inn is a good pub in walking distance (or 2 minute drive) to eat/drink.
Enjoyed our stay tremendously only downside which is a relatively small one was the food. Tapas is fine for a snack or small meal but not an evening out type offering. It must be said though food was being served all evening and bar was full so they are doing something right for the Tapas lovers.
The area is lovely a short walk to a fabulous beach but the accommodation was appalling! Many previous reviews state the bungalow needs a lot of TLC, and this is certainly true, Amy is charging top dollar for uncared for ill maintained accommodation, reviews going back 12 months comment on the same issues we encountered, she came up with excuses but not prepared to refund or compensate even though she was claiming through her insurance!! The impression is she is only interested in making money not providing the service paid for!
Pending approval You reviewed The Estuary - A Bar with Rooms. 15 Feb 2022 10 The whole experience was first class, a credit to Alex and the team. Liked · More than lived up to its 9.5 rating, from the special Valentine’s Day menu which was stunning, the beautifully appointed balcony bedroom and comfy king size bed, hot water for bath and shower, bottled water and nespresso machine, to the exceptional breakfast ( we had the Estuary stack, Sourgh dough bread, smashed avocado, poached eggs, goats cheese, streaky bacon and chilli relish) at a value for money supplement of just £5, everything made for a most memorable stay and we will certainly be returning. The ambience in the bar is great and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Only sorry We didn’t have time to try the gelato in GG’s as it looked amazing, next time.
