This is such a beautiful place to stay in Perpignan! I newly renovated villa with lots of amenities and really beautiful surroundings! The staff are really friendly and welcoming. I arrived late and tired after a long trip and they make me feel like home! I stayed on the upper floor and the room is really spacious modern and fully equipped - all in good taste and of a high quality! The bed (mattress) and linens are really comfortable. The room is absolutely quiet and the curtains can really shut the light out - I had really good sleep! The bathroom is spacious and the shower modern and spacious too! The surrounding space is really beautiful done! A creek flowers trees and the smell of the big evening primrose - it really made my day! It is also worth of mentioning the effort of sustainable practices including lighting insulation and heating - i really felt safe in a well made place! It's one of the rare cases I felt I have to come back and spend some more time here. The hotel is also well situated near the old town of Perpignan. There is a bus stop outside the entrance that takes you to the old town. But it took me just 15-20 min walk to get there and I really enjoyed it! Old town of Perpignan is full of history and culture! I totally recommend it!

The rooms are old and dated. The aircon doesn’t work very well and the windows have locks on them. The room was hot and stuffy. The ibis rooms are accessed via the Novotel. Apart from the reception and dining area it all looks a bit shabby.
I could have spent all day at the Palace and another exploring the array of very high quality shops in the lovely winding streets. The cathedral is worth a visit for those interested in architecture, history, etc. or who just appreciate the remarkable efforts humans put into their religious monuments. It is an active religious site, so proper dress and respectful behavior are requested. A stroll along the canal was very pleasant. I did not have enough time to do any of it justice. I walked everywhere. Ask hotel staff which way to go to the palace: GPS doesn't know there is only one entrance and will take you to the outside wall only, FAR from the entrance.
We've travelled to Perpignan many times now over the years that Super League games have been played there. We've seen the sights there many times and there are some interesting places to visit. This time we stayed in Canet in a beach front apartment which is just 20 minutes away from the town and would recomend that to anyone who's seen the sights of Perpignan itself.
The food is excellent (especially L'Arago) excellent bars close to Castille perfect for an evening drink in the sun. Proximity to Canet-sur-Mer is great too; we spent a day here and it is brilliant. It is my second time here, I came originally in 2018 to watch my team play Catalan Dragons. I always vowed to return with my wife for a visit and she loved it.
The staff is super nice, the accomodation as well, everything was clean and tidy. They let me store my luggage before and after the check in. Also there were lockers with plenty of space for our things to be safely stored.
