We had an amazing experience :) we recommend to anyone looking for a friendly and nice place, in a great position. A lovely sauna with a garden and see view, a curated garden, lots of places in which you can relax or eat something. There was a barbecue spot available, but we didn’t use it. You could park your car just outside the building. The flat was clean and tidy, beds comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Easy to check-in. It was a really good property with great facilities.

Adlon Hotel is located by Mariehamn Harbor, 328 feet from the ferry terminal. It offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and rooms with a seating area and a TV. I always like Adlon! Good value for money and friendly staff.
Aland is a great place full of nature. Mariehamn is nice, but I mostly enjoyed the nature. My favourite place in Mariehamn was the vista point from Badhusparken. Further, I visited Saltvik, Kastelholm and Eckerö, all reachable by bus from Mariehamn.
The island is perfect to move around with the bike. Landscape is very relaxing. Public transport has limited frecuency, so check out before planning the trip, specially if you have to take a boat. Taxis are available as well.
It is a charming city with kind people. We visited Maxinge shopping center and ate one of the best pizzas in a long time in a Diablo pizzeria, which felt authentically Italian (from one that grew up on Italian) in so many ways. A trip would have been worth it just for it. Many lovely places for charming walks around the city and area.
Historical sights on the island - almost everything on the island is no more than 30 mins. drive from Mariehamn. The island has a sense of uniqueness and it's very silent and peaceful. Åland is a dream destination for anyone interested in maritime matters. It was pity that all the ancient middle age churches and the Mariehamn church were closed during the day time although many school classes and cruise passengers were in town and on the island. However, these sights are probably easier to visit during the proper summer. Remember to eat the Åland pancakes, available for instance in the oldest wooden house of Åland in Mariehamn.
It is one if the coziest and most accecible places I’ve been. The city is clean and people are very nice. The most amazing place I’ve visited there was Åland culture musuem. You can try one of the most delicious thai foods in Khun mom restaurant.
It was a very cozy and modern city at the same time. The last time I was there, was 20 years ago, so many changes had taken place! I recommend the museums, they are worth a visit. Also, the city library is very nice.
