Bremen is a city with loads to see. I wish I could have had another day! but beware where you stay, as it could make a real difference to pleasurable time. history, architecture and art was why I went and the city does not disappoint.
Bremen is always charming to visit. As I have been there few times and always liked pace of the city. Its quite easy to commute around. Many restaurants. But mostly I have noticed Turkish restaurants. Most places can be accessible via public transport.
There is a lot of sites to see and tours to places like the Mercadies factory, brewery's, Churches, the city market place for fresh foods, and it is the birth place of the Bremen Stat Musicians (Grimms fairy tales)
I like Bremen very much. I think it is a nicer city than Hamburg. Bremen has a slower phase, people are not so stressed in Bremen. The city center with it's old buildings are very Nice - contains a lot of history. I would recommend first one visitors, to read about the Hansan - before their visit. This will give an understanding, why the people here are so Rich! ;-)
Bremen is a lovely place. Very quaint. Decaf coffee originated here (I didn't know that!!). Its a good place to explore and also close to Hamburg if you fancy a day trip. Everywhere is very clean. If going of a weekend, I would recommend booking somewhere for lunch / dinner as it got very busy.
We felt completely at home...wonderful City for doing walks & enjoying the vast array of awesome buildings, parks & different museums. Everyday was a new thrilling experience for us which we embraced totally. The restaurants are excellent along with the other small bars & cafés. At night the "light boxes" have large displays on the front of the older buildings in the centre of town which was so amazing! Getting around is simple as there is the most wonderful tram system. We also payed a visit to watch Werder Bremen which was so magical within the ground, facilities & atmosphere second to none, thank you for a great match!!
It is just 5 min away from Bremen Airport. Our room is clean. The breakfast is simple but it is quite enough. It is very is easy to reach the hotel by using tram line 6.
