The place was perfect for a family stay. It had comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities. We could cook a meal there as various kitchen utensils were provided. I liked the cups and plates, red with white dots, very cheerful. The Italian coffee maker was a blessing, too. The bathroom was clean and nicely designed. It was equipped with a washing machine which we didn't use, because we only stayed for two nights. The check-in/out was unproblematic. The owners are very friendly and easy to contact. We also appreciated the free parking space outside.

Opened in early 2013 after a complete renovation, Hotel Lux in Emmenbrücke is just 6 km from Lucerne. It offers free WiFi and free parking. Breakfast was very good. The bathroom was of bigger size than expected. The reception staff was exceptionally supportive and cooperative. They always welcomed me and provided all kind of support. After check out I requested to keep my luggage at reception and they did it happily. I would like to thank all the hotel staff.

Luzern is a beautiful city and has a great vibe. We were there during Luzern Live and the atmosphere was fantastic with all the music, food, drinks and shopping stalls. I’d highly recommend anyone to visit Luzern.
One of my new favorite places in Europe. Great town, great location for a home base for many excursions....Jungfraujoch, Interlaken, Mt. Pilatus and more. Great restaurants, food and other venues. People were extremely nice and helpful. The week we were there they had concerts every night at a large concert venue next to the train station. Fabulous City!
I stayed in Lucerne for three days and two nights, but since I had to leave for Zurich Airport at 9 a.m. on the last day, I actually spent about one and a half days in Lucerne. During that time, I was able to fully experience the beautiful scenery of the old town and the unique charm of Switzerland, which is different from the area around Interlaken. The only regret was that on the second day, I planned to go to Mount Rigi, but due to my condition, I ended up just walking around the city. If I visit Switzerland again, I would like to focus on experiencing the beautiful cityscapes of Bern, Zurich, and Lucerne.
We bought the Tell pass which seemed a bit pricey at the time but turned out to be a good choice because it gives you free travel on the cable car, trains, buses and trips on the lake. The longer your stay the more value the pass becomes
Great city, we had a lovely time. Great restaurants in old town and in Lucerne proper. There are activities in and around Lucerne. Train station is convenient. We went to Lucerne to relax, de-stress and not do much. So, we didn't do any day trips and only walked to all our destinations. Not a location for those in wheelchairs or have trouble walking. Streets in old town are cobble stone.
Very clean city and beauty natural environments. Recommend to boating on the Lucerne lake and hiking on the top of Rigi mountain. Walking around the city is also great, many old buildings with history.
