We stayed one night in the larger bungalow with sea views, and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Robyn has been so welcoming, lovely and attentive, we immediately felt like home. The bungalow was spacious, exceptionally well-maintained and meticulously clean. We ordered a "room service", a home cooked meal made by Robyn herself, for dinner (including homemade ice cream that was beyond delicious!), and loved every bite of it. Strongly recommend staying here - there's loads to do in the area, and Robyn is the perfect hostess. Thanks for having us!

Vibes were 🔥 view a serenity ♥ tucked away but close to town and many scenic history 👌 everything we needed and wonderful neighbours.. only critique was leaving 😔 loooove the Hokianga 🙏🏻

Staff were AMAZING! Slow cooked lamb and the pork belly were delicious, rich but delicious, and booking the villa was an absolutely amazing private space for me and my partner, and access to our own spa was nice...

The room was very clean and tidy, the villa was completely fenced with a nice spa pool on the patio giving plenty of privacy which was a bonus. A quick minute walk to the restaurant to enjoy dinner with a view.
Absolutely loved the view and the privacy of the villa we had! Was such a gorgeous escape away and my 4 year old loved the pool. Wish we could have stayed longer but if you're contemplating staying here 100% do it!
I encourage everyone must book villa for better experience or beach front unit (not delux one). Under new management this is great accommodation . Don't follow old google photos and complains. Since mid dec under new management very neat and clean property along with amazing facilities
It's a fantastic location - when we were there, we had clear skies, and with a 30-second walk to the beach to see the sunset it's definitely worth it. The villa was nice and reasonably clean as well. Any of the problems mentioned below can be ignored if you're looking for a decent place to stay and don't plan to either interact much with the staff or eat from the bar (note that the other food options close at around 7 pm).
Our room was beautiful, we were upgraded to a villa and it was perfect for our little getaway.
Perfect Retreat & Cafe nestled amongst beautiful rose gardens with cottages and facilities tastefully decorated, fully equipt with elegance & style. An absolute piece of Heaven on Earth located in rural Hokianga and Historical Waipoua Rainforest.
