Smooth and friendly check-in with good communication. Smihi is a gem! Just a short walk following our host (up some steps though) from the ferry arrival. This property was spotless, has beautiful views, small alleys to discover, felt safe, and has enough tile and color to make a weary traveler excited and invigorated. Felt intentionally designed, carefully maintained, and so comfortable for our family of six. 10 days of travel in Portugal, Spain and Morocco and this was our only accommodation with a DRYER! ☺️ Smihi was helpful, accommodating and speaks excellent English. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Our host Hicham was genuinely friendly and attentive. He met us personally, and helped us settle in. The little house itself is lovely and in an immaculate condition. The kitchen is well-equipped to prepare one's own meals and since there is also a big-screen TV, there is no need to go anywhere on stormy days. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful with lush pastures, hilly slopes and the wild Atlantic Ocean with its vast, sandy beach. The walk down the hill from the bus stop (we took a bus from Tangier, so the house can easily be reached without a car) is amazing. There are plenty of farm animals around, cows, sheep and hens, and many cats that we grew very fond of. There is also a little store by the highway (less than 1 km from the house), where you can get basic foodstuffs (water, bread, eggs, milk, some vegetables, etc.). Overall, Hicham's place is ideal for those guests who like some peace and quiet, and want to experience Morocco's beauty in a less touristy area on the Atlantic beach.
