The host, the house, the location. The house is extremely cozy and clean. Everything you need is available: small kitchen, couch, nice place to sit outside! The beds are comfy and when you’re lucky you can see the stars from there. It’s a ten minute walk to the beach where you can surf or chill. Also restaurants and a 7/11 are there. The area is great for hiking and cycling (bikes were there). Shishikui is a bit remote and quiet, but perfect for a stressless getaway if you’ve been visiting Japanse cities. From Osaka is a direct bus to Shishikui station, so it’s easy to get there. The bus ride alone is worth taking. Ryota was an excellent host, and the surf lessons were awesome!

The entire house was furnished with style with attention to all small details. Air conditioning and air purifiers were available in all rooms and perfectly functional. The sleeping room upstairs was comfortable and equipped with large TV (+ air conditioning and air purifiers). Beautiful small garden in Japanese style visible from the main room downstairs and illuminated in the evening. The kitchen was furnished with all sorts of items for cooking and breakfast, including fresh food in the fridge for breakfast and fresh coffee and coffee grinders and snacks. The bathroom was equipped with several towels and amenities as in 5-star hotel. The house is a located ina quiet residential neighbourhood, a bit outside the main city center, but easily accessible by public transportation. In addition, there were two electric bicycles available (we didn't use them). 24-hour convenience store was 4 minutes away by foot. The owner provided all the information required well ahead of arrival and was super-kind and fast in replying to our messages. We would definitely book again this house when in Tokushima, and would even consider it as a destination on its own.

We stayed two nights. Absolutely loved the big bath to soak in. The massage chair was a wonderful, relaxing experience. Very clean accommodation with good amenities. We liked the location as it suited our travels. The house was close to one of the 88 temples.
