The rooms are clean, very comfortable (we experienced the most comfortable beds here during our entire Japan trip!) and stocked with everything you could possibly need. You stay on the top floor of the property and the host lives on the ground floor. The location is excellent - in a quiet part of town with a nearby bus stop if needed, otherwise the temple complex is only a short walk away. The host is an older gentleman who speaks a little English and was very helpful and kind during our stay, helping us to make a dinner reservation. We highly recommend a stay here :)

The quiet location in the middle of an old forest, with ancient shrines and temples within a short walk, was magical. It's also close to a bus stop and a few good restaurants. The house is very comfortable, spacious yet cosy. If you've ever thought that a great place you were staying at would be even better if it had that small detail, you will most probably find that thing here. It simply feels like home. The host is very kind and friendly, he offered to pick us up from the train station when we arrived. And there was even some food and beer waiting for us in the fridge. Definitely the best place we stayed at during our three-week trip to Japan. Would love to come back!
