We had plans to see and do a number of things in the Miyazaki area and I had booked this house because it looked nice online. Shortly after arriving at the house, my girlfriend and I both said we didn't want to leave the house. We scrapped all of our plans and enjoyed the house and neighborhood for our stay and it was the best part of our extensive trip through Japan. Every little detail of the house was perfect. It was so comfortable, peaceful and beautiful, I think it added years to my life. Then there is the town. A perfect little castle town with fantastic surprises on every street from beautiful landscapes to museums to Izakayas, restaurants and shops.

Excellent private villa, wonderful dinner
We absolutely loved doing onsen every evening: a private in-room one is just such a wonderful luxury. The entire Ryokan is so elegant and beautiful. Breakfast was interesting and very traditional. The staff were so lovely and accommodating, always finding ways to answer our questions and helping us wherever they could - I will miss them all. Best of all was the town of Obi, which is a beautiful place with so much history. I really loved our Miyazaki trip and staying at Nazuna was part of that loveliness.

Old house in the village near train station
We did not expect this place to be so traditional. The town and the accomodation were very unexpectedly amazing. When the description said a two bedroom villa we did not expect the most beautiful old Japanese house we have ever seen (with modern amenities). The neighbourhood was so helpful when we had trouble getting the keys and again when we found three abandoned kittens in our accomodation. we had such a lovely time.
Everything felt luxury from the facilities to the food. Was dreamy to have the private outdoor bath available to use 24/7. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive.
The house was beautifully situated on a small harbor. The host was very friendly and welcoming (She was a little nervous about using English, but it was no real problem). The house was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and extremely stylishly decorated. There didn't seem to be any restaurants nearby, but it was 2 minute's drive to the nearest convenience store, and about 10 minutes to a supermarket. The house contained everything needed for preparing/cooking meals. This is a quiet village, so it's not the place for a party.
