The holiday home is fitted with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with mountain views. The property has an outdoor dining area. We had the house to ourselves, clean and quiet. Two BR on main floor and two full BA. One BA on main floor and one a few steps down. Individual air-heat units kept the house comfortable (it was hot in Oct when we were there). Washing machine in kitchen. Ibrahim is an excellent host. His B and B is spotless and comfortable. The air conditioning was cold and the shower water hot. He served me a delicious Jordanian breakfast including local fresh olive oil. The B and B is a ten minute walk from the ruins. To top it off, Ibrahim is the director of the Um Qeis museum, so if you have any questions on the history of the site right up to the 1980s when he and his family had to move out of the Ottoman village, he is your man. Highly recommended.
More comfortable than average hotel rooms. It's genuinely clean, cozy and spacious in comparison. Good value for money for what you can get in jordan. The host was helpful and kind. The village is charming. We hiked and enjoyed the views... it a good place to come to relax and do sightseeing.
The food was really good and the staff was friendly. It is not a luxurious place but has great value for money, we were very impressed how nice everyone was to us. Will come back if we have the chance!
This is a comfortable, charming place very close to the wonderful Umm Qais site with its archaeology and stunning views. It is our favourite place to go in Jordan for a relaxing weekend away from Amman. It is in the heart of the village and has a delightful garden and terrace. The breakfasts are always excellent with much local produce. And what's more one can feel virtuous in supporting the local community, and can take advantage of the various interesting activities on offer.
This is a special place in the small village of Umm Qays. We enjoyed the hospitality including the homemade meals. Very clean and comfortable. Go - you won't regret it.
