Located in Kilkenny, in a historic building, 17 km from Kilkenny Railway Station, Mountrothe House is a holiday home with a garden and shared lounge. We were a group of friends on a weekend away and had an amazing stay at this country house. Very well equipped kitchen (including a welcome hamper), lovely outdoor BBQ area at back and sun room. Beds are very comfortable. Derek and Emily were very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again - this place is a gem.

Lots of extra effort with homemade muesli, bread, fruit, milk, eggs, jam and cheese. The accommodation was perfect with a fully kitted kitchen, comfortable chairs, and bed along with outdoor furniture so you could sit and look out over the green paddocks with its resident horses. Kilkenny is a beautiful place with its rolling green hills. This little haven has been one of the highlights of our trip.

Quirky house that was clearly loved. Very clean. Mary the host was lovely and so helpful. Very generously left us chocolates, wine and a lovely cake. There were tea bags and a bag of coffee beans! Mary clearly tries to make people’s stays very comfortable. There’s a great big garden and gazebo area, just made for parties. There are 3 properties beside each other. The folly, another large house suitable for a large party and the host’s own house. Mary was really lovely and we didn’t feel that it mattered that she lived so close by. It’s a bit out of town on a small country road. We walked to the Hoban hotel, about 10 minutes. Would be very happy to return there again.

Niamh was so reliable in communication and provided many details and insights which were super useful. Very easy check in

Featuring garden views, Stoneyford Village provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 3.9 km from Mount Juliet Golf Club. We loved the location, the house and the pub next door. Great town, fun friendly staff. Fred, the host was super accommodating, friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home. Geroid the bartender was outstanding.
