Host lives on site, so very convenient for keys and commun. Apartment was very clean and well appointed.

Towels and bed linen are featured in the holiday home. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Not one single complaint. Had everything we needed, even silly things like salt & pepper & oil to cook with (every place we’ve stayed in we’ve ended up having to buy this stuff.) Katie was an incredible host & we hope to come back in the summer.

All essentials provided, including a lovely Welcome pack of wine, biscuits, local roast coffee and tea- very tasty and much appreciated. We will be back to stay at this wonderful, sympathetically modernised, property. (Ps thanks to our hosts for promptly emailing through our ferry passes, after my partner left the printed copies at home.) We love the IOW, we've been many times - but this is our favourite home-from-home.. We would've stayed forever if we could....

We had a lovely time at Villa Rothesay. It’s so unique and charming and the views are stunning. Breakfast is delicious and staff are so friendly. Special thanks to Margaret for taking great care of us - we will certainly be back. ❤️❤️❤️
The location is superb overlooking the Solent, it was lovely having breakfast in front of the open patio doors overlooking the water. We have been to Villa Rothsay before for dinner, but not stayed. While the villa is amazing decorated to reflect a bygone era and it's so interesting looking at all the pictures and artefacts, our room was more modern, very comfortable and clean. We'd definitely stay again.
The hotel is always kept very clean in all areas, the buffet breakfast and hot food order offers a very good choice. All the staff are extremely helpful and will always answer any questions you may have. The sea views from the hotel are excellent. The location is very good and the hotel offers a free Chine pass for access to the Beach etc. There are footpaths that lead you to the old village for shops and pubs.
Location and surroundings are excellent - easy walk to village and beach (with options for test of knees and stamina if you wish!) Peace and quiet with very comfortable beds and lounge areas. Garden is excellently designed and maintained. We had a balcony room and the view on a sunny morning was spectacular. The staff are all friendly and helpful without being suffocating. The hotel is not cheap, but if you value having a peaceful and pleasant retreat with lovely views this is it!
It was just to put my head down after a late wedding finish - it’s not luxurious but it was clean and the small bathroom looked newly refurbed. I wouldn’t use this as a luxury stay but it definitely served the purpose.
The holiday village was nice, clean and quiet. Close to the sea but not overlooking the sea. Friendly management and great surrounding.
Our second visit. The apartment was well equipped and spacious. The furnishings are modern and new. It was spotlessly clean. It is very handy for the beach and there are views of the sea. The heating worked well and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely return to Shanklin Villas if we decide to visit Shanklin again.
