I loved the position of the cottage on the cape and the big windows, that allowed an overview over the lake and the surrounding nature, but at the same time much privacy. Travelling without a car, I was pleased, that the bus station in Viuha could be reached in ten minutes. The cottage "Niemi" is perfectly equipped even for a longer stay, providing e.g. a washing machine. I enjoyed the sauna very much.

Very clean and the house (being old) had character. I liked that it had a hiking trail right from the property and if we had more time we would have walked it.

It exceeded our expectations. The house contains 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a huge kitchen and a super huge living room. Due to a not so lucky weather, we came rather wet. But there is a drying machine in the size of a huge fridge, which dried all our clothes and shoes. This was life-saving. And the sauna! What a treat! Huge and comfortable. And of course, the location is close to the port in Padasjoki and close to the lookout tower. If you want to get some blueberries, you just step outside the house, and you get some from the surrounding forrest. The host was very kind to provide easy access (check-in) and departure. He provided all the needed info, and it could not have been better prepared. Thank you a thousand times!!!

We enjoyed our stay! The cottage was pretty and clean, and nicely furnished. The sauna was tempting. The patio proved attractive for our evening snack. The host family was very attentive, while totally new to booking.com. The fridge was 'loaded'.

Felt like traveling back in time to a tranquil farmer's real estate. Pictures and photos of hard working and well of farmers some half an century old adds to the vibe.

An absolutely surreal place! The pictures are very tempting but the reality is even far more better. This is not an agency driven anonymous cottage. This is a place used by someone for his own pleasure, with all comfort and useful things you could only think about. And this person is so nice to allow you to stay a while in this paradise. We were so sorry that we stayed only 1 night!
