The villa is very well situated, in a resort complex located 50 m from the beach, with all facilities in the vicinity but very quiet. The host JC (French who lives there and speaks the language), who owns the villa, is the best one I have ever encountered in my many years of travelling. Not only did he arrange for a taxi transfer from the airport, he was there at the villa to guide us around, explain things, and then took us on a tour around the main city Santa Maria, explaining where to exchange money, eat the best, shop for groceries etc. Throughout the week, he was there to help arranging for tours (we did sailing, quad, diving, kite surf), brought in some water as well, and was always reacting within a few hours on questions. Du jamais vu! The island itself is beautiful, the people are very nice, and this together with the quality of the villa and the JC service made it very special for all of us.

I can tell it’s English owned and loved the Cornwall feel to it, the surfboard, the crockery, the kettle was great, I even did laundry there. the security of a 5 star resort but private villas. loved it! will be back!

Situated in Palmeira and only 2.5 km from Fontona Beach, Kuartinho - Casa Torre features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. luciano is such a lovely host! he made pur stay very pleasant! the property is beautiful and you get a good deal for the price! there is not a lot to do in palmeira but there are nice restaurants and you can take the colectivo to santa maria (for instance) for not much money!

Located in Santa Maria, 3 bedroom/ 3 bathroom villa, Sal, Cape Verde provides accommodation with a private pool, a patio and sea views. This is a lovely villa in a fabulous location, with its own pool as well as the use of the main hotel pools and other facilities. The beaches were beautiful and also surprisingly quiet; the sea was a bit rough sometimes but our three boys loved it - close supervision required though! The pools and sea were warm enough when we stayed. We opted to stay self catering; Andrew was very helpful with the location of the best supermarket where we stocked up on everything we needed for the villa; and he also gave us some great restaurant recommendations in Santa Maria. The hotel didn’t seem that busy even though it was Easter school holidays, though we didn’t eat in any of the hotel restaurants as there were so many great ones in Santa Maria. Taxis into Santa Maria were easily arranged when we didn’t want to make the 45 minute walk there.
