Located at Praia do Canto beach in the stunning Ilha Grande Island, Hospedaria Bergamota offers charming chalets with private entrances. It is surrounded by gardens and has a sun terrace. Stunning views! I booked for the view and we were not disappointed. Accommodation basic but all we needed for an island experience. Andrea was a superb host and always available. Good to have someone who speaks English if you don’t speak Portuguese.

Beautiful place right on the beach. Victor and Victoria were so helpful and lovely when answering our questions.the kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom clean, as was the bedroom. Really beautiful island full of kind locals and beautiful views. We would highly recommend Ilha Grande and Casa Quintal.

From start to finish an absolutely wonderful experience we would 110% recommend if visiting Ilha Grande. Diego was super helpful and informative helping with all of our questions and made us feel so welcome and at home on the island. The property was spotlessly clean, spacious and practical and the location was absolutely perfect - literally a few steps from the beach with crystal clear water (and lots of colourful fish)! Diego also organised a tour of some of the smaller islands for us which was such good value and a must-do if staying here! The beaches were incredible and our boat driver was great - thanks Luquinhas!! Overall, a once-in-a-lifetime stay and would absolutely recommend for anyone planning to visit the island.
