Set in beautiful country scenery that screams peace and tranquility. The premises are easy to locate and central to the Midlands Meander.
We stayed in the "Shepherds loft" intended for an individual or couple sharing - it is an incredibly spacious, romantic and well curated room which has all the modern touches required for our creature comforts. Some of the fittings and fixtures are composed of antiques as well as some rustic and reclaimed pieces giving the sense that you are suspended in time - this lends and borrows from the rich culture and heritage that can be enjoyed throughout the area.
Your hosts are kind, caring, considerate and conscientious individuals who have a clear passion, flare and knack for what they do. While I would be interested to see if other guesthouses/lodges/hotels could rival this kind of hospitality - I would not hesitate to book another stay at "The Croft" as we were quite simply blown away
. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and at home Lizzi - we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated your effort! Until next time

Perfect for families, groups, or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while traveling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, free-standing mansions – travelers can cook, lounge, and explore at their own pace. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
Well because I wasn’t looking for luxury rather convenience, this place is near the UKZN golf road campus of which that is where I had the appointment at, however it is away from the town, I had to order in. I would recommend it for people who are visiting PMB for business, it is quiet, chilled and affordable.
Warmhearted welcome, well maintained mansion, large room, the cozy bed, nice bathroom, the balcony with view and sunset, divine breakfast, dinner and local tips... I wish I could stay longer! One of my best stays ever!
Breakfast was good. Served on time in our rooms. We appreciate the warm welcome by our host Vivian and her son Warren who went out of their way to ensure that we are well settled in our rooms amid the bad stormy weather on our arrival. The staff there were friendly as well. Oh. We enjoyed swimming on the sparkling clean private pool on site.
Gail is an excellent host who goes out of her way to assist and make your stay the best it can be! The rooms are a great size and very comfortable with very comfortable beds and luxury linen & towels.
Will definitely use them again for our business travels to PMB.
