Everything - the layout and location of the house, the staff and the wildlife. It’s ideally situated between Hluhluwe -iMfolozi (a Big Five Game Reserve) and Isimangaliso Wetland Park. And there are two good restaurants very nearby which is very convenient if you don’t want to cater for yourself.
We didn’t realize when booking that the house itself was in a small game park, so nearly every day we were amazed to see giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, antelope, duikers and vervet monkeys as well variety of bird life all from the back of the house. The house is located at the far end of the park so it felt secluded and peaceful, yet had all the modern amenities. It was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The housekeeper Zanele and the groundskeeper Ruben were so nice and helpful. The owners were highly responsive as well. We highly recommend Tchagra House and were very sad to leave.

Lovely property right in the Kuleni Reserve. Nadia was a perfect host, always attentive and willing to help. The layout is partly open and so brought the outdoors in. The bedrooms were all spacious and the whole place was beautifully appointed. Oh, and the Nyala and Duikers came right up onto the watering hole for a drink...and then there was the giraffe on the road right outside the property...

Nice location and a nice accommodation. The tent is something different than the standard lodges, but it has all the luxury you need (including WiFi). Good place to stay and lovely staff for info and food!
We were traveling group of 9 people around 4 countries. We booked Gooderson DumaZulu Lodge beacuse of references and photos. We were not disappointed. Everything was just great: the setting itself, green garden, big huts, pool and the romantic walk trhough wooden path to restaurant. The dinner was excellent, everything fresh and tasty. Breakfast perfect as well. After breakfast we took a show at cultural village (including dances and songs). We highly recommend visit at this lodge.
Nice self catering place with kind of a private pool as we were the only customers in Nyala lodge. Amazing game drive with the guide and very nice Nyala trail where we saw girafe, zebra and impala
We felt safe. And the little zulu village vibe set up was nice. The food (braai night) and staff at the restaurant were lovely. Kids loved the Snake Pharm experience and Donald was amazing with them.
My stay at Amazulu Guesthouse and Safaris was delightful. The friendly and helpful staff made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The refreshing pool and comfortable beds provided a perfect retreat after a day of adventure, and the self-catering option added convenience to my stay.
We are regular visitors to Falaza. We return because we love the location, the peace and tranquility and its initial attraction was its rather appealing clean, luxury tents. We have been coming to Falaza since around 2016 and have returned multiple times as we are in Hluhluwe at least every month to stay at the variety of resorts and game lodges. We consider Falaza one of the more peaceful, clean and serene settings and the staff have always been great on multiple levels.
The whole property is just exceptional, and the wonderful staff are the cherry on top. Nonnie and Noks cooking in the kitchen are fabulous, and the cafe has everything you need. Our luxury tent was gorg, and we love that the entire property is off grid. This is the second time we've stayed at HBC; we'll be back again!
