Our unit had its own private pool, which was wonderful after a long, hot day on the road. In addition to towels in the bathroom, beach towels were provided for the pool. The unit itself was large, comfortable, well equipped and clean. In addition to air-conditioning, the unit had solar-powered lights for load shedding. Check-in was easy and the hosts friendly and helpful. And the views were stunning!
Marcel and Gezina are fantastic hosts and pay great attention to detail. We really loved our stay at Carmel Villa and can highly recommend it in Calvinia. The breakfast we had at Carmel Villa was also fantastic! We stayed in Calvinia to see the flowers around Niewoudville and think that Carmel Villa is a wonderful accommodation option. We will definitely be back.

A lovely luxury self catering cottage with all the amenities required. Very comfortable and it also had a great patio area, surrounded by a well kept green garden with a beautiful view of the Hantam mountain. The owner Hendrina was very friendly and welcoming, as was the little grey kitty cat who came to visit.
Not able to avail ourselves of breakfast but the quality of the accommodation in the two bedroomed cottage in the garden was superb. Comfortable well equipped rooms and excellent fibre WiFi. The hosts went out of their way to give a warm welcome and make themselves readinly available to deal with any issues or answer questions about the town. Highly recommend Carmel Villa and would happily stay there again.
This is a really well equipped and beautifully laid out place with a luxury feel. The hosts were really lovely and the place has the feel of a luxury private resort. I was there for just a few hours of sleep really but would love to come back for a more leisurely stay with family. And indeed I will.
Carmel Villa was beautiful, well maintained, comfortable, well located and the staff friendly and professional. Everything we needed for a pit-stop on our way home from the north to the south.
