We have stayed in many self catering places throughout South Africa, but Peartree Cottage is simply the best. The cottage is extremely well furnished and the owners' attention to detail is incredible. There was absolutely nothing missing, especially the kitchen is a dream. Really appreciated the Nespresso machine together with a good selection of coffee capsules. The fireplace in the lounge with a good supply of firewood was unfortunately a necessity in Hogsback, we knew that it can get pretty cold in Hogsback.
The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, you could not wish for better hosts. They go out of their way to ensure a pleasant and perfect stay.
Overall, there are not enough words to give Peartree Cottage the credit it deserves. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Absolutely beautiful location in the mountains of Amathole region in Eastern Cape. Beautiful views, place is tranquil, good for switching off and rebooting. Its best to bring all the food you need as the villas are self catering but they are absolutely beautiful. Also great place for family outing. We also enjoyed horse riding with my 9 year old daughter. Beware there is a dead road for about 30 kilometers before arriving at the resort.
