The breakfast was amazing. We had breakfast every morning outside next to the coi fish pond. An absolutely serene and beautiful way to start the day. We got to know everyone at the restaurant. The entire staff was full of smiles and joy. I am a retail wine merchant in the heart of NYC and I was quite impressed. The grounds are immaculate, you could not find even a gum wrapper is you tried.

We had a such a relaxing stay at Fern Grotto Inn! The cottage was stocked with everything we could possibly need, in terms of beach and cooking ware. The host was nice and very responsive. We had a beautiful view of the canal and Wailua River. It was also great being able to use one of the property’s kayaks to go out on the river any time we wanted. The location was perfect: close to the airport (10 minutes) and central to either the northern or southern shore sites (about 1.5 hour in either direction).

The host was very professional and extremely accommodating to our requests. What was especially helpful was having a Brita water filter pitcher that saved us from having to purchase bottled water and also having ice cube trays because the refrigerator did not have an ice maker. The king bed was very comfortable and the living room/ patio area was also very comfortable. The beach was about a half a block away and easily accessible. Highly recommended!!
Perfect for families, groups, or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while traveling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, free-standing mansions – travelers can cook, lounge, and explore at their own pace. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
Even though the apartment was old and ick, it was spacious and well-equipped. There was everything to prepare a meal. There was a great pool at Outrigger Hotel which we could use as the residents of the villas.
Location had direct access to the beach. Nicely appointed outdoor for morning and evening walks. We were able to use adjacent Outrigger's pool and hot tub which was much better than Kuaui Beach Villas. Rooms were comfortable.
We needed a low key hotel in the city for our early morning flight. The hotel fitted our need. Its not luxurious but clean, the staff was very friendly, and we had a great night sleep before our 6 hour flight.
The place is simple but has 100 years of history.
My wife and I enjoyed it very much, and we both slept well.
I wished I had some blackening blinds, that's the one and only downside.
If you are not looking for luxury, you'll surely appreciate it.
1. Access to the pool at Kauai Beach Resort (the pool at the villas was nice, but pretty small). We have two kids and they loved the sand pool and water slide.
2. Great location. Close to the airport.
3. Clean facilities with a lot of room.
The villas text message service was very responsive and friendly - a great resource for asking questions about my stay.
Being able to use the pool amenities (slide!) at the next door resort made a big difference!
We love, love, love this condo and the entire property. Awesome location right next to Kauai Beach resort, use of their 4 pools was included, though not necessary, as we had a lovely pool and spa right at the condo. Loved the privacy of our own condo, free parking, grounds were beautiful and very well cared for. Villas have 30 second to 4 minute walk to the villa beach, depending on which unit you are in. Condo itself is adorable, and the location was perfect for trips to Lihue (to stock up), and beaches north, east, south and west.
