This must have been one of the best experiences of my travelling life!
First, the Villa - it is a modern villa (a little unusual for Matemwe) with white-washed walls and warm accents throughout, right on the beach at the north end of the village of Matemwe (Kigomani). The view from my second floor terrace was amazing. It has a swimming pool which I sadly did not get to use. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was generous and convenient.
The hosts, Paulette and Didier, were just wonderful! I was treated better than just a guest - the dinners were a family affair with lively conversation and wonderful food and wine. Staff were impeccable and always available to help.
I arrived early than the standard check-in time, but my room was ready and I was glad I could get some rest after a whole morning of travelling.
A good location for a relaxing stay in Matemwe, Chunga Changa is a villa surrounded by views of the pool.

An incredible experience from beginning to end! The villa is perfect for vacationers that want quiet and privacy but don't want to feel isolated. The property is perfectly situated near Muyuni Beach for excursions to Mnemba Island for snorkeling or swimming with dolphins. It's also easy to access the must-see beaches across the north, like Nungwi, Kendwa, Matemwe and Kiwengwa. Iman and his staff took exceptional care of us from beginning to end, from arranging all of our travel, to delivering groceries, to arranging excursions to Mnemba Island as well as the Spice Farm post-checkout. The villa is beautifully decorated, exactly as pictured, and you have a front row seat to sunrise. I'm so grateful that we made this villa our home base for our trip. Highly recommend it!

Absolutely exceptional property and location, with wonderful friendly staff and everything perfectly maintained. The only (very minor) comment I would have is that the food could have been a bit more imaginative...but it's still excellent value for money.

Lovely clean villa with a real holiday feel. The manager Iman is a real gentleman and super helpful. All the staff are vey polite and do a great job.
The nearby beach is amazing where you can get snorkeling excursions or rent jet skis and other water sports items. The beach is a 10 to15 minutes walk from the villas
The villa has got private pool, you can spend really good time here. Staff is very kind, they know english on good level so you can get along each other. They clean pool and rooms everyday. The food they served is delicious and fresh, we love fruits there. You can also visit the Beach which is 7 minutes by foot, also go snorkeling. We recommend this place 🩵

The beach in the north of the island is where thousands of tourists enjoy the luxury resorts. Mambo Paradise is a 7 room hotel to slow down the pace of life.
We had a wonderful stay at Ocean views villas in north Matemwe. The villas are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you need. The private garden and pool are perfect for relaxing. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive to every detail. The breakfast is delicious and varied, and the location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Matemwe beach and the nearby attractions. We highly recommend Ocean views villas for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Zanzibar.
