Despite our stay being only one night, we were extremely impressed by the beauty and elegance of the villa and its pool. Every detail was meticulously crafted with great attention and taste, reflecting impeccable care for comfort and aesthetics. Our stay at Lions Villa in Zanzibar was exceptional! From the get-go, Paola provided very useful information about the villa, its services, and the island, making our trip planning seamless. The villa itself was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and felt just like home.
We made use of several services, including a private chef and island excursions, all of which were easily planned and precisely met our expectations. A special mention to our driver, Mohamed, who was fantastic and accommodated all our requests with a smile. Additionally, Mr. Davies took care of all our on-site requests, ensuring a smooth stay—he was truly fantastic.
Overall, Lions Villa is a gem in Zanzibar, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Maybe the best location in Zanzibar. Kiwengwa has many restaurants and long beach with access. Having a rental car, we had the opportunity to explore most of the island and be able to compare.

Bocari looked after us and made sure we did the trips with the right people. Our chef Fred (free breakfast) was amazing...felt honoured to have a cooked breakfast cooked for me in my villa...such a great thing to do. Ali the pool man was so friendly too..he showed us where the locals play football on the beach and my sons joined. Margaret the maid was very sweet too. The crew are amazing and the white beaches and the villa are just lovely...exactly what you need to relax.

The place was clean and soo comfortable I can’t even explain, the staff was friendly..and my favourite thing was the private pool. As you can see in the pictures only you and your family get to enjoy it ,no strangers (perfect for those of us who can’t go into pools with strangers). The kitchen is fully equipped (tableware and all). It’s a perfect family getaway even for locals who just need a break from the city chaos.
Definitely recommend and would go back next time.
