Our stay at Lions Villa in Zanzibar was exceptional! From the get-go, Paola provided very useful information about the villa, its services, and the island, making our trip planning seamless. The villa itself was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and felt just like home.
We made use of several services, including a private chef and island excursions, all of which were easily planned and precisely met our expectations. A special mention to our driver, Mohamed, who was fantastic and accommodated all our requests with a smile. Additionally, Mr. Davies took care of all our on-site requests, ensuring a smooth stay—he was truly fantastic.
Overall, Lions Villa is a gem in Zanzibar, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Maybe the best location in Zanzibar. Kiwengwa has many restaurants and long beach with access. Having a rental car, we had the opportunity to explore most of the island and be able to compare.

Moja Tuu is the true definition of what a hidden gem is. Located in a serene and lush compound atop a coral reef, the facilities and amenities on offer make your stay luxurious, cosy, and homely yet fun and thrilling. Their two - and three bedroom villa configuration results in probably the biggest rooms I have seen yet. The villas themselves are an architectural master piece offering guests somewhere to live to the rhythm of sunrise, thrill of the sea, and the sway of the forest.
Really nice beach bungalows/villas, comfortable bed. The location is on the beach, it was calm because there are only few resorts around. if you wanna visit busier place you can walk 20-30 minutes on the beach while low tide.
We are an American couple who have been living in Tanzania for years. We booked confidently in this corner of paradise which is Kiwengwa, for us the most beautiful beach in Zanzibar. The villa was really good and it’s decor is lovely. The bed is comfortable (superb having the duvet) and the bathroom/shower is quite spacious. Although there were other villas nearby, ours was slightly secluded and private. The hosts really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
We had the Villa, with a private pool, but also used the big pool. Great view from there.
Dinner was real good, even had some dancers entertaining us while we enjoyed our dinner.
Gorgeous place. Absolutely amazing. Our money was wet, due to rain, had it spread out on the table, little did I know the team is spraying the mosquito's and entered our room, while having dinner. They came to our table telling that there is money on the table. On return, everything was still there.
