We loved everything about the place, the location on the river, the view, the comfort, the size of the rooms, the cleanliness. The host provided so many unexpected things: international conversion plugs, chargers, flashlights, bug spray, lots of suggestions of things to do and see. He even texted us to let us know about the royal procession which literally came right past the house. We had an unobstructed view which thousands would've envied! As older travelers in our late 60's and 70's, access to the house was unfortunately an issue for us. Access to the house is limited to walking, riding a bike or small motorcycle. The driver we'd hired had to wind through extremely narrow streets and then park several blocks away and walk us to the house. (The day of our arrival the owner provided excellent detailed walking instructions which included turn by turn pictures.) Our driver discovered an alternate route the next morning which allowed him access to a parking lot at a temple. While we wouldn't stay here again, we highly recommend it for anyone more mobile, and more internet savvy. We loved being in a neighborhood which provided wonderful insights to local life, the neighbors were friendly and helpful, street food, local markets, as well as western restaurants such as Subway (and even two 7 Elevens) were blocks away. The owner provides several bikes which would make trips easy.

Rooms are clean, cosy, well equipped and super quiet, so even though you're right in the city center - you will get your goodnight's sleep. Bathrooms are super spacious and they feel luxurious.
MIQ are in the heart of Asoke, the pool is the best things of this house. Even it’s not a private pool but not any guests stay while we live here. this clean 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom house exceeded our expectations. The host team was exceptionally polite and always cooperative, ensuring a seamless stay. A tips was the option to grab in delicious croissants and coffee every morning within the cluster. With its comfortable accommodation for our family of 12 and a refreshing pool, this retreat comes highly recommended.
Where do I start?
The location, right on the river overlooking Wat Arun.
The privacy, there are apparently 6 villas on the grounds - but we barely saw anyone else, we had private breakfast on the deck in the morning, the pool all to ourselves in the afternoon, watched the sun go down over the river on our own.
The staff were friendly & treat us like royalty.
They have the biggest catfish I’ve ever seen!
It was the most expensive place we stayed in our 3 week trip - it was worth every penny!
We had an amazing stay at SHAN villas! We are a group of 9 and we stayed at the villa. All staff were welcoming, friendly, accommodating and they all speak great English. Facilities were great, rooms were sparkling clean. Everything is as perfect as the photos. Would definitely come again.

It was kind of a funky hotel in my opinion, once I was able to find it. But if you have Google Maps, type in Marwin Villas and I think it was about a 10 min walk from the Ratchathewi BTS Station. Wifi was easy to connect to
All the staff are very friendly and accomodating, we started our stay here for the first part of our trip before travelling to other parts of Thailand across a mix of resorts, private villas and hotels. Sivatel was one of our top 3 stays and if we visit Bangkok in the future we would come back. The rooms are clean and spacious and overall facilities are well maintained.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were both clean and cozy, providing a comfortable retreat. The rooftop pool with its stunning views added a touch of luxury, and the tasty breakfast was a delightful start to each day. I highly recommend Chillax Resort for a fantastic stay.
