Wow this one is unique - it is an old barn converted to a huge living room and kitchen with a garden on both sides.
This is definitely no Scandinavian sterile environment but like living in a museum. Our kids loved the gardens, to explore and to run around.

I really liked the crowbar. It has a sense of soul to it. It reminded me a lot of my childhood and my great-grandmother. It also brought back memories of the time spent in the village with my grandmother. Everything looks so authentic and captures the atmosphere perfectly.
Good , The host provided a simple but adequate home for our stay. While not luxurious, the accommodation offered a basic and functional place to rest. The home had a normal, no-frills atmosphere that served its purpose as a temporary lodging option.

The small wooden cabin was very cozy and comfortable, quiet enough and had everything you need (a small fridge, a table inside and outside, a TV, hair dryer, etc). The host was also very nice, responsive to messages and made sure we are good. The location is great, just outside of the small village of Cartisoara, on the famous Transfagarasan road.
We were very pleased with the visit. The house is located in a village near the Transfagaras pass. The pictures in Booking correspond to reality. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is parking inside the yard, there are enough places. Very well made outdoor barbecues with tables and benches. A perfect place to relax. We visited the house at the end of October. It was very warm and cozy inside.
There are not many places to choose from in the area, so this place is one of the choices. The village is one of the oldest on record Romanian ethnic village in Transylvania. (You won't find that information anywhere in the village though.) The owner is nice, but was a bit tired. The warm water from the shower was refreshing. There is ping-pong and badminton. The place recycles.
Nice rooms, clean and functional accomodation, right in the middle of the village. Perfect for bikers, right on Fogaras road. Grocery store in walking distance, trout farm great for dinner, helpful owner and nice community area to gather with friends.
The owner was very nice and helpful. It is a great location to go to the Transfagarasan. There is a group of dogs protecting the small village from bears who were very friendly to people. The surroundings were very calm and relaxing with a stream right next to the house.
Everything was perfect and very comfortable. Location is the best for driving Transfagarasan soon in the morning. Everything is new in the house. Our motors were safely parked. Bear visited village at night. Owners are very kind, they brought us welcome drink. There is a good restaurant 200 m away from house.
