Casa da FÁ 2, hotel in Provesende

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Casa da FÁ 2 is located in Pinhão. Guests staying at this holiday home have access to a patio.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa da FÁ 2. The location is very good, right on the main street of Pinhão, so only a few meters away from the supermarket and nearest restaurants. Despite of that, the upper apartment we were in, was oriented away from the road, facing the calmer side with a beautiful view of the river. There was a small table with chairs on the little terrace, where we could enjoy wine with the lovely scenery. The interior of the apartment is newly rebuilt, very well designed and decorated. The apartment was perfectly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. In the fully furnished kitchen, we could use beautifully decorated plates and cups. As a welcome gift we got a bottle of home port wine. The communication with the landlord was very quick and we got always help and answers if we needed anything. The whole house has its own history and character, which made our stay even more special. We would definitely stay at this place again in the future. Thank you for a memorable experience.

We chose to stay at Helena’s Family House because of the many rooms, bathrooms and the short distance to the city. Helena made an excellent breakfast for us. We were recommend to eat at. Veladouro, and like to pass on that recommendation. Remember to make reservations.

Centrally located in a small, historic village, Mesao Provesende is a welcoming oasis of comfort, wine and food. The hosts, Ronald and his wife Jet, are friendly, obliging and hospitable. Car parking was free in the street near the house. Our room was large and inviting and the king size bed very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time meeting and talking with the other guests.

Wonderful hosts in a beautiful hill top village. We had tasty dinner with the hosts and other guests, an very enjoyable experience. Parking easily found in the main parking area in town before you reach the property coming from Pinhao. We hiked down to to Pinhao which was delightful, walking on mainly paved paths enjoying the views and having no problems catching a taxi back. Don't let the winding road stop you staying here. Just take your time!

We loved everything about this stay - the room, the food, the port wine, and most of all the passion the staff and owner have for their historical manor house built in the 1600’s! The rooms are top-notch and lovely. We also enjoyed walking through the village. It was a fabulous experience overall!

Very comfortable. Nice small town/village away from the busy Pinhao. Excellent caring hosts that were very helpful with some dietary restrictions for breakfast and dinner and helping us park out front. Great way to experience local living in a great rural home, have great meals and knowledgeable wine pairings. Fun! Would easily recommend to all for a great Douro Valley experience.
