This was an interesting experience. The property looks to be fairly new and it is set in the middle of a cork tree grove. I especially enjoyed the excellent wifi and the presence of a microwave in the room. The place was immaculate and one of the staff spent a considerable amount of time picking up leaves, small branches, and other material that was on the lawn while I was there. If I ever return to south eastern Portugal, I would stay here again, especially as now I know where it is located!

The house was amazing. Six suites, extremely comfortable in the winter. Heat and an amazing fireplace. We travelled with kids and they had an amazing time in first floor playing ping pong. The house is big and can easily accommodate groups. Totally recommend it. There is also a very appealing pool outside for summer stays.

The place was great, with lots of room, the outside was gorgeous, really well looked after with the pool. The host left us some food like bread and wine so all of that was much appreciated. The place was very clean and honestly, we were really sad that we weren't able to stay for longer.

What a wonderful, tranquil and tasteful place you've created Paula! We are so grateful for all the thoughtful touches - fresh bread in the morning, bottle of wine upon arrival... Mrs G was so friendly and welcoming when we got there despite being a bit late and having been a bit lost. We stayed in the cork house which is just perfect for a relaxing holiday stay for 2, it had everything we needed for cooking simple meals. We loved lounging in the sunshine on the deckchairs, listening to the nightingales singing at dusk, watching the sheep next door. We fell in love with this part of Alentejo! The house was perfectly situated for walks and only a short drive from the beautiful towns of Castelo De Vide and Marvão. We did not want to leave! Really hope we can be back in the future!

The place is just beautiful, in the most lush setting and super comfortable. It was really well equipped so we could cook easily every day, including once on the BBQ. The outside space and pool are lovely. We'll be back soon!

We received a warm welcome. The place is quiet and not far from the village. There’s plenty of space to relax, and the area offers many beautiful paths for hill hiking.
Everything was perfect, owners are very friendly, the place is very beautiful, one of the most wonderful places we’ve ever been, clean villas with all facilities! Amazing!
The property itself, which is architecturally very an attractive mix of old and new and it’s position in a beautiful mountain area with fabulous views. The facilities are first class: rooms, luxurious common spaces and swimming pool. The host is also a winemaker so that is an extra bonus. Very friendly host and staff. Overall a relaxed and convivial stay.
Welcoming, friendly staff and owner. Comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. The furnishings in the communal areas are beautifully tasteful and historically very interesting. Breakfast was also very tasty and healthy. A good restaurant is just down the way in the village.
The apartments in the hotel are luxurious in a very well and tastefully renovated old building. It has all modern conveniences in combination with the typical for the region style of architecture. The location of the place is superb - in the historic center of the city. The owner is extremely kind and responsive and has shared in many pleasant ways in the exhibition on the walls "memory boxes". I recommend a hot spot to all visitors and guests of Portalegre.
