Can't beat the views and experiences of this property. Nothing better than drinking a glass of wine and looking over the balcony in the afternoon. It was the most relaxing part of our trip. Whole house so many ways to divide up your party.

EVERYTHING! Our only regret is that we only booked the villa for one night ☹️!! The accommodations were perfect; spotless and contained everything we would need. The view was spectacular! Bright sun with acres and acres of terraced vineyards to view right outside our balcony. Joanna, the staff person on the premises, answered our every question and even provided us with ideas for two short hikes. We took the longer one of about 2 hours which looped us through the vineyards where we even saw the grapes being harvested by hand. Breakfast was hand delivered to our door and right in time. Well worth it!!!

The property was very clean. It was well-equipped and had everything we needed. Nuno and Andreia put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. We had been in Portugal for 10 days and stayed in various accommodations in Sintra, Obidos, Porto, Braga, Coimbra, Fatima etc. My family members voted unanimously that Casa de Vila Seca was by far the most comfortable stay.

The property is wonderful; we travel to a lot of high end hotels and this was really great service and accommodations. This hotel is very special, food is wonderful, staff is extremely helpful and attention to details made our trip very enjoyable. We 100% recommend this hotel if you are looking for a luxurious, peaceful and local experience! We will come back!
Luxurious rooms with an amazing view of the valley. Very comfortable beds + modern quality decor. The host is super nice. The pool is absolutely beautiful. The location is not in town but less than €10 for a taxi which is very easy to get right from the door of your room.
This is a beautiful villa with lovely decorations. The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast offered so many options. We loved sitting by the pool and appreciated the drinks in the refrigerator. The tile in the bathrooms are so classic and colorful. The whole home is very lovely. We wished we could have stayed longer.
Maria is an amazing person along with the other employees they make a stay here very memorable. Maria is very kind and offers lots of information and kindly arranged a table at a beautiful restaurantfor us on the day of arrival. the property is set in an amazing location, with private pool and absolutely gorgeous gardens. Communal breakfast in the morning in the courtyard is really nice touch also. We could have stayed for a month!
Lovely old building/mansion that has been thoughtfully restored. High ceilings, charm, attentive staff. This is rated as a 2-Star hotel, but that seems ridiculous. It is beautiful and charming. Not cr than nearby four star hotels.
I loved the staff and the garden. The villa is super beautiful and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. They helped us reserve all the restaurants and activities. Maria is the best.
The location of Casa dos Avos is perfect, in a cute village just outside Regua. The apartment itself is an example for a great renovation - there is a feel of the old house - very thick stonewalls and amazing veranda, yet everything else is brand new.
The attention to detail is remarkable - everything is provided including a mini size Sensodyne toothpaste.
Breakfast was abundant and was delivered in a picnic basket.
Fabulous views, delicious breakfasts and a delightful host make this a no-brainier if you want to explore the Douro. Generous public spaces and only three bedrooms makes this place feel like your own private villa!
Fantastic stay in Douro Valley, wonderful staff, helpful & kind. We had a room in the main building with a beautiful view. Great breakfast. They also helped to book & recommend both wineries & places for lunch/dinner. Manuel is the best. Highly recommend. Room was a good size, very clean & comfortable. Would definitely stay again. They also have a great pool and 20+ orange trees, 30+ olive trees and some cute villas on the property
