Wow!! Beautiful and secluded oasis far from the madding crowd. It had everything .. bbq area, swing set , private CLEAN pool, babbling brook nearby, view of a mountain. Great grocery store nearby. Fantastic host, Carla, met us at the property and showed us how to use everything and work the locks and appliances. ( seriously, how often does that happen?) former grist mill from 1880 but converted to a two bedroom villa. Soooooo quiet and relaxing. Wished we could have stayed longer.

This place was enormous. Reminded us of home. It was a great location for us. Close to restaurants and the castle. The people we met were friendly. There is a market every Thursday where you can get fresh food. Penela is amazing.

This was a very nicely presented house which was modern and sensitively presented. Incorporating old with new in a design sensitive way. It was close to my house in Meas which meant my family could all meet up easily.

Very friendly host and special location. We had dinner in the nearby village on advise of our host and it was a beutiful meal which we enjoyed very much. We only had time to stay 1 night because we were travelling but otherwise very nice to stay longer!

This is by far the best accommodation you can wish for! Hosts are exceptionally welcoming and friendly, the room was wonderful, the meals were tasty and fresh, the garden is like a little paradise. We stayed for two nights and even had a chance to have lunch with hosts and their family. It was truly magnificent experience, we highly recommend Villa Chanca!
