The two terraces and the garden were amazing. All of the antiques, the furniture, and the stone walls made the experience feel authentic. Nice to have a both a washer and a dryer. Despite its flaws, would stay here again for the medieval experience and spaciousness.

We stayed three nights in June. Unit was a 2.5 level spacious townhouse with a balcony and a private patio. Unit was practically new and well stocked. Located 5 minutes outside the village wall. Had a large parking lot. Unit was super clean and well furnished. The only thing missing was a washer, but that would have been a luxury. Super Hosts Tiago and Dora took excellent care of us and provided great recommendations and even helped book our restaurants: they sent us a guide book of Obidos before our arrival which helped us have a better appreciation for the village and the history.

I saw some very bad reviews from customers, particularly the Mezzanine unit where we stayed. Had I seen these before booking I would not have booked this place. Having now reviewed those negative one star reviews, I find none of them currently valid. A lot of people complained about odors and dampness. Well not now and maybe the owner took action to prevent this. There was a dehumidifier in the unit- no smell and no mold that some reviews mentioned. There were complaints about the shower. One said there wasn’t a stopper to be able to use the bath tub. There is now. Again maybe the owner took action to the complaints. When I booked, I hoped to be in a unit where the granite wall intersects with the unit. So this unit has that. Very unique. This unit is tight, but there is a TV down stairs and another in the up stairs bedroom. The unit opens on a nice weed free grass area and the pool just a few feet away. The bedroom up stairs has a low ceiling, but the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen area was well equipped. Ok those negative reviews maybe were valid a while back, but it seems to me the owner takes auctions to improve the units. That is a very positive thing. Try walking late night through the streets. You will probably be alone after the Bo’s loads of tourists leave. You can imagine what it would be like 800 years ago.

Nice quiet villa with great room for the three of us. Excellent location just outside the city walls with easy access to all Obidos has to offer. Shared common living space and terrace which was okay for us. As stated in the house rules payment is cash only so be prepared. Parking along the streets is available and a bit challenging but this is the way for any villa in this town.
Joao and his wife were very welcoming and accommodating. We arrived early, and we forgot to do the check-in in advance, but that wasn't a problem. They were friendly and happy to give suggestions.

Obidos garden villa was just perfect for us. Specious, clean, well equipped, lots of storage spaces, comfortable beds, great water pressure, peaceful. Walking distance to Obidos old town and supermarkets.
Located in the middle of a beautiful Pear Orchard it is serene, quiet, peaceful with access to small villages, towns with everything you need, beautiful beaches, Obidos Castle, and a dinosaur park. The best part are the owners, Roger and Nazare. They are the very best example of what you hear about the kindness, and giving spirit of the Portuguese people. The breakfast is a custom prepared bounty of fresh fruits, juices, breads, pastry, coffees, teas, cereals to rival the fanciest 5 * inner city hotel without the noise and crowds.
We loved this accomodation! The small apartment was perfectly located just one street back from the main thoroughfare offering convenience but also a quiet space to enjoy. The rooms were styled simply and beautifully and the stone walls offered loads of character. The pool area was also very lovely and it was a treat to retreat from the village and spend the afternoon there. Thank you!
