Great location, great facilities, and great hospitality. The place is located in a "schist" village in Gondramaz. The site is beautiful, located in the mountains. Our place was a "small house/room" with a full kitchen and a table+chairs to eat. To get into the house, we were given a code which made it easier than handling a key.
The reception/breakfast area and pool are all in the lower part of the village, with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. We had dinner specially prepared for us the night we arrived and it was very tasty. We enjoyed the quiet evenings and the long days, sitting by the edge of the mountain.
Note that this is a small village on the side of the mountain. One has to walk "down" into the village and "up" to leave. It is a short and interesting walk.

The house is charming -- a peaceful bedroom/bathroom on the bottom floor and a newly renovated kitchen/living room on the upper floor. It's got a great view of Penacova, a sleepy little town on a beautiful river (with a small public beach for swimming about 3 minutes walking from the property!). The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, plates, microwave, stovetop, oven, etc. Tania was an excellent host -- communicative, easy to contact, and thoughtful. Would recommend 100%!

Amazing place to stay and relax in a beautiful village! Apartment is equipped with everything you need, beautiful terrace with BBQ zone. Private terrace with lemon tree and flowers, you will enjoy. Very peaceful village with river, river just 10 meters out of the apartment. Great location- close to supermarket and to the river. Owners are very helpful - thank you and good luck!!! At the end of the holiday I booked relaxation and rest. I found it here in the hotel. The village is small and quiet. The hotel is cozy and has everything I need. The pool is very clean and for breakfast there were fresh fruit salad and croissant. The furnishing is very loving.
Excellent staff especially the lady who booked us in I think her name was Tania. Clean functional room with great views. Free parking which was a bonus. Centrally located so a few minutes from the village centre. Ideal place to stay if doing the N2.
A wonderful opportunity to experience the mountains and the Schist villages in central Portugal. The accommodation was authentic and comfortable- our host Gabriel and his lovely Mother were a pleasure to communicate with.

We are of average fitness but managed to do the 9km loop walk through the main villages which was absolutely beautiful.

There's is also a wood fire stove in the kitchen that heats the open plan kitchen lounge/dining area.
The host left some fire wood for us to use that was enough for our stay.
There is parking at the village entrance on the road and is a very short walk the property (don't try to drive to the property as its very narrow paths)
If you're looking for a quite place surrounded by nature this is definitely a good place to stay. I had a very good staying in this little village with nice sightseen if you go for a walk.
