We were here in early June 2023, newly converted and we were their 2nd guests. Very good, no its excellent, accommodation. Coming here is getting away from the tourist scene of beaches and crowds. The kitchen dining living room was easy to work in, the bedroom very comfortable. WiFi, power points, table very workable. Could easily be accommodation could spend a week in. The owner is next door and very helpful.
Could easily be used as a base to explore areas within a 20 or 30km or more range.
Went to a local restaurant ( cafe Flor do Paraiso) just down the road for probably our best home cooked Portuguese meal of the trip. The cafe is local enough that its not even on Google.

I booked this apartment as a surprise for my husband's birthday. I asked the host if it was possible to have a cake on our arrival. To my surprise not only was the cake beautiful.. the host gave the cake as a gift.. also, every question I had the host answered within minutes.
I really appreciated the video of how to enter the apartment.
The quality of the furniture in the apartment was excellent.. the beds were super comfortable with excellent quality bedding and towels .

Both the place and service level was that of a 5-star luxury resort. Very beautiful and modern property, with spacious common areas. They have a gorgeous pool surrounded by nature, and they are building a spa and indoor pool. We notice that even the little things like coffee machine and pots were from a good brand. They did not spare any expense to make their guests feel comfortable.
The service from Anna was impeccable, she was welcoming and helpful with suggestions.
Never have had a more luxurious stay and experience in the hotel. The infinity pools with a view straight on Douro River and valley are just breathtaking. The staff is super helpful and authentically friendly. Super looking forward to my next stay in one of the Octant hotels! There will definitely be a next time!

Great place to stay in a mountain area around a very small rural village. Room had excellent view, kitchen perfectly fitted.
And be prepared for the roads around. Narrow mountain roads, but all safe, Fantastic landscapes.
The Hotel was very luxurious and looked after us well. It was clean and the restaurant was excellent as was the pool and facilities. The views were outstanding.
