The townhouse is the typical, old townhouse. Beautifully restored, modernised, cozy, looked into each and every detail. You wouldn’t expect what’s inside until you open the door, as you will find a modern house with all the comfort. Diogo, the host, on top of each and every need of us, giving us tips of places, restaurants, things to do…. His sister was waiting for us on arrival. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the old part of the city. Walking distance to bars and restaurants, and literally 4 minutes away from the beach. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace every night, having a drink and chatting till midnight. I 100% recommend the place.

The owner was welcoming and was very responsive to messages.The house was beautifully renovated, with lots of original features but also all the modern features we needed. Great shower, lots of charging sockets, really effective air conditioning in all the rooms, and a large modern television. There was also another television in one of the bedrooms. The outside kitchen and dining area were perfect for relaxed evenings. The location of the house was within easy walking distance from the train station. We didn't hire a car during our stay, so used the train to travel to nearby lagos on one of the days. The beaches are walkable, but were too far for us to walk in the heat. The buses were regular, and the beaches were easily accessible by bus. The river was just at the bottom of the road. There were several outdoor eating places there, and it was a nice place to stroll in the evening. It was a short walk along the waterfront to the museum where we caught the water taxi across to Ferragudo. (I would definitely recommend visiting Ferragudo. It is a very pretty village with some nice eating places and beaches). There are also lots of boat trips to other destinations, including the benagil caves, leaving from the waterfront near to the museum.

The resort was very good, we had a 3 bed villa with pool my son had 2 bed villas both were exceptional, maids come in every day mopped floors made beds changed towels, the breakfast was lovely had a really good variety, and could order poached eggs or omelette to be cooked.
The villa provided us with a luxurious space filled with style and comfort. One of the main advantages was the warm pool, which became a real source of pleasure and relaxation.
The interior of the villa reflects refined taste and attention to detail. Spacious rooms furnished with modern furniture and stylish accessories create an atmosphere of comfort and luxury.

We where a group of 6 ladies and we loved everything. From the moment we arrived we where made to feel welcome. Every staff member we came across was helpful. The villas are amazing and the maids clean everyday and keep them spotless. Food and cocktails where delicious. The whole resort is just beautiful and luxurious. Cannot fault it at all. We will be back again next year.
Practical but very dated, pool and amenities functional. Photo used by Booking.com does not reflect the one bedroom apartments but just the ‘high’ end villas with there individual private pools.
The holiday village is much better in real life than what one sees in photos. The staff was super friendly and flexible to our needs, has plenty of parking spaces, swimming pool and sports facilities, and very comfortable villas. It is surely recommended for families with kids.
