This property had everything we needed and more! It was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed the views and the quiet location. It was easy to find and a quick drive into town. The kitchen was well equipped and the home had all the supplies we needed. Parking was also very easy!!
The manager of the property was quick to respond to our questions and made check in super easy. We would definitely stay here again.

The very first word out my mouth upon arrival was “STUNNING! “ Wai Rua is 80 acre farm/estate of absolute idyllic beauty; neatly maintained grounds, with floral highlights present whichever direction one looks. The “cottage” is a misnomer; it is a spacious, fully equipped small house! Kitchen must have every possible modern appliance; the main room is well furnished and extremely comfortable; in the bedroom the king bed is irresistibly relaxing. The whole unit shows off custom installed wood paneling throughout. Then there is the deliciously heated (!) swimming pool with area to lounge before & after.Did I mention the sweet companionable house cat Poly? Hosts Elaine and Allen were warm and hospitable as if faraway family members from the first minute. In short, they were gracious folks through and through and first rate conversationists on your choice of topic…

The accommodation was amazing, you could tell a lot of thought had gone into ensuring comfort and luxury. The breakfast was outstanding set both of us up for the day :) The location was perfect so peaceful and they had thought of everything even down to socks to keep your feet warm.
I'm happy with the manager jackson and staff they were helpful in many ways, i would recommend this villa to other travelers that travel thru whangarei excellent 👍
A calm and serene place of utmost comfort with a luxurious setting. Gerald and Lorraine are the bestest hosts we've ever met. Great place just out of city hustle bustle but yet very accessible to town. A great location that allows you to experience marinas, good food, walks, beaches within a short drive. Lovely little breakfast spread. A great garden to take a quick stroll and even have a glass of wine outside. Fabulously comfortable bed, great shower and sparkly clean.
We lived the location. So much to see around the area. Mary was an amazingly warm and welcoming host and the property and setting was stunning. We felt as if we were staying in a 5 star luxurious hotel suite. On our departure, Mary gifted to us some beautiful fresh produce from her farm. Breakfast was so good. Thankyou Mary, we will recommend your stay to anyone we know heading in your direction.
