The house is fine. Nothing too special. You can cook with some utensils, and it has a spa. The location is quite good if you're going to Tongariro.

It was a great house for the family. Close to the mountain, nice and warm with the fire going and plenty of space.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.

FAQ about villas in National Park
On average, a villa in National Park costs £192 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
The self-contained unit we stayed in is very comfy, especially the room bed and the sofa in the living hall. The room size is good for our family of 4. We can see Mt Ruapehu clearly behind our room. It is a 10-minute walk to the bar & restaurant from our lodge. In addition, it is just a 15-minute drive to Whakapapa village and another 15 minutes to drive up to the Skifield carpark. This is one of the best lodges we have stayed in New Zealand.
The location was excellent, with good access to the national park and many walks for differing abilities. The pub nearby offered a fun game of mini golf and good food and Whakapapa village has a very useful information centre and wonderful dark skies at night making it a good place for stargazing.
We love that the accommodation is centrally located in National Park village (not that the village is big). Graeme & Lynley also sent us clear instructions how to get into the house all by ourselves, which was really convenient as we travelled after work and reached there quite late in the evening. Everything in the accommodation really makes us feel like "home". There were even kitchen staples that we could use to cook our meals! Love it!
In the heart of NP village
Very friendly helpful supportive accommodating always smiling owner (Anna) and her awesome staff
Very clean facilities
Value for money
The young guy working in the shop/reception area was wonderful - really cheerful, positive and welcoming to everyone. My bedroom, the kitchen and lounge were all comfortable and kept nice and clean. There's a smart TV with Netflix etc in the lounge, and multiple sources of heat to keep you cosy in this very cold village. Only a 5 minute walk from the train station/bus stop.
Friendly down to earth hosts and a great location right in the heart of Tongariro National Park. Very comfortable and practical accommodation with good cooking facilities for self-catering. Rooms were clean and comfortable and there is convenient off-street parking. Shops, bar and cafe close by in the village if you need these.
Stayed in a King Pod. Compact, but cute. Great site, with generous shared kitchen and lounge areas. Close to restaurants and bar in the NP village. A good spot, glad we stayed there.
