Beautiful spot, it felt like we were so secluded but easy short drive to town and beach. Having our little dog with us was a bonus! The donkeys were super friendly especially with a few apples. Amazing sunsets! Can get a bit hot in summer facing into the sunset, but we took a fan with us and it was all fine. It was so nice to have the farm eggs and honey.

Simple NZ 'Bach' a couple of houses back from the beach. Basic supplies, a kitchen, dinette, lounge and separate bedroom. Glenys is a lovely host, good communications leading up to the stay, which is helpful. Good base for heading up the cape.

The location of the Apartments is great...close to ALL village shops eateries etc...& of course you have the superb elevated views of the Harbour & the surrounding area.
It’s really excellent , well equipped facilities and obviously a lot of thought and care has been put in by Erica to ensure you have a pleasurable stay . Some nice personal touches and verywarl welcome. You close to several good eating options in the village as well as the famous fish and chips and good supermarket few yards away. The view from the balcony of the upstairs apartments at sunrise and in the evening is to die for ! Highly recommended . Good
The Old Oak Hotel is a lovely hotel in an ideal position in Mangonui. We enjoyed the short walk in to the village. Our room was spacious and had been thoughtfully equipped with everything one might need, and very comfortable. The owners were most welcoming and helpful.
A really great place to stay. It is located at the edge of the village, but this seems an advantage: the village itself is tiny, but you are free of all disturbing noises that may come out of venues (the night we stayed there, there was a huge party at one of the cafes). Cosy and well-planned living room.
Well equipped, very comfortable and spotlessly clean unit. Great location, with panoramic views from the unit and just a short walk down the hill to Mangonui village. Hosts were so warm and friendly, and genuinely intent on making our stay the best it could possibly be.
We liked the fact that it was so close to the little village. The fact that the bedroom is at the back and you can't hear the traffic is another plus. The bathroom was so spacious and there was even a telescope, which trilled my husband. We left our laptop in the drawer and lucky for us, they checked the rooms soon after we left and phoned us. We were not too far to turn around and fetch it.
