We loved all the little extras that made the room comfy and welcoming. The pillows and bed linen felt luxurious. The breakfast ingredients provided were thoughtfully chosen and just the right amount. Thankyou

Beautiful location, close to Gisborne city but a world away in atmosphere! We stayed in a Podlife cabin (tiny house), surprisingly warm and cosy with modern decor & touches of luxury. Perfect place for a relaxing winter getaway

This place exceeded our expectations! The cabin was incredibly comfortable and spacious, with everything you could need in the kitchen and the bathroom. The beachfront location provided amazing views of the sunrise each morning

Lee is a very friendly host. Villa Shemshi is remotely situated on a farm and is lovely and quiet. My room was well supplied with everything I needed.

Such a lovely overnight stay at Black Label Retreat. Spa was good to go on arrival. Bed was super comfy. There were heaters to warm the rooms. Views were beautiful as we are on a hill. Everything was nice and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for somewhere quiet.

The owner was so welcoming and friendly when we arrived. He recommended the great restaurant right on the beachfront and the wonderful walk through the dunes. A really great stay.

We really appreciated the warm welcome we received. The unit was comfy and spotless. The location is great, close to a great cafe, the river, the beachfront and main street, just off the main road but nice and quiet.

The closeness of everything. The villas close proximity to the restaurant and bar. The lush grass areas and the beautiful shade trees. The live entertainment was an exceptional bonus. The live music Sam and Luishaan provided just added more to such a pleasurable experience. I loved the way I was greeted and treated by staff. I would return to Matawhero winery only on very special occasion because it is such a special place to be and because the cost of overnight stays is affordable for my family and I for only a few and far between visits.
