While searching for comfortable place to stay with 6-year old child near Lake Tekapo area in New Zealand - we came across this gem and booked it.
We stayed in “Sherwood” cottage on the facility and had one of the most memorable experience. It had all required amenities including air conditioning in the family room and was within 1 hour distance from Lake Tekapo. It also has a nice patio where we enjoyed morning breakfast while listening to beautiful bird chirping.
Murray and Jackie were super friendly and accommodative of our asks. They seem to be taking great care of the facility.
Our 6 year old had a great time spinning on the private flying fox (zipline) and feeding pellets to alpacas that Jackie gave earlier in the day.

Gorgeous stunning vacation home, large, clean, comfortable, well appointed. Near lake Opuha. The home is private, but in a compound of other nice homes. we met the neighbors, who welcomed us and were so kind. Highly recommend this place!

The place is small, but enough for a couple. Clean, comfortable, warm.
The animals around the cabins make the place even better. Really cute option for a 2 nights stay.

A New Zealand motel with comfy chairs, settees in fact! A rare find. Super comfy bed. Helpful hostess. Good value and short drive to Lake Tekapo. Easy walk to the village. A famous pie shop and two pubs selling jugs of beer at reasonable prices.
Incredible value for money. Very comfortable bed in a clean little cabin. Basic but with everything you need really - a heater, toaster and kettle were provided. Toilets were right next to the cabins which was ideal, and were reserved for cabin guests only which was much appreciated as they were never busy. Fairlie is a lovely little village, and situated nicely for a day trip to Lake Tekapo (30min drive). Thank you!
Handy location - easy stroll into Fairlie village and the bakery. Fairlie has an excellent domain and two great kids playgrounds.

Beautiful location - didn’t want to leave. Hot tub was a luxury, enjoyed relaxing in it after dark. Very comfortable beds! Hosts very welcoming. The farm tour was very interesting!

The view is breathtaking, snow capped mountains, green fields with sheep - get up to watch the sun come up, you’ll get some great photos!
Very clean and warm. Vehicle was under a carport and right near the entrance. Plenty of hot water for showering. Private outdoor area. Luxurious linen on the bed. Plenty of tea,coffee etc.
