Such an amazing place! The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation is a converted barn on several levels., the top floor is fairly open plan with different sections. There is a cosy living room part with corner sofa and tv, then a section with a bunk bed and two extra single beds, to the other side is a big dining table, and then in a raised section is a double bed. Down some stairs is a fully equipped kitchen, down a few more stairs is a snug with TV, gaming console and bar. On the same floor is a separate toilet and good size shower. There is also a washing machine available to use.
It's hard to describe this property to properly do it justice. It is so fun and quirky with how it has been styled with old artifacts, plus lots of different lighting that helps to create a great ambience.
Location wise it's fabulous, we drove into Ålesund with no issue and also explored all the various islands nearby. It is a truly beautiful part of Norway.
Just a few minutes drive away you have a petrol station, takeaway pizza place and a large supermarket.
If you're looking for something a little different that will bring a smile to your face I highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful time. The house is spacious, kitchen is very well equipped. Located in a quiet area with grocery stores nearby. You can get to Alesund in 15 mins by car. Pets are welcome. Everything was great!

Situated in Ålesund in the Møre og Romsdal region, 6 person holiday home in Volda features a garden. The property has garden views. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.
Understated luxury by architects André and Åse. Fabulous lights, stylish furniture, terazzo floors and the most beautiful room that we were sad to leave. Thank you Marlene at the front office, Kaarina for an efficient check-in and Barbora for the delicious breakfast.
The attention to detail in restoring this gorgeous turn of the century villa is absolutely impressive. Truly a labor of love. The outdoor museum next door of old homes, an old school house, an old general store, shoemaker shop, was very cool. We had a nice run and walk in the woods that leads to a beautiful look out over Alesund.
What a beautiful and modern house! The size was very good! We wish we lived here 😄 very clean and comfortable place, huge livingroom en fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom luxurious and looked brandnew. Excellent location. We would love to come here again in the near future!
THis was an out of the box destination, full of wonders, history and uniqueness. THis 1910 house is full of skilled wooden carvings, historic furniture , and character. Next door is the wonderful outdoor Viking village complete with ships, grass-roofed cabins, and a well done museum. Having no car, we took the local efficient public bus into Alesund for dinner.
The apartments are well marked from outside.

The shower was massive with good water pressure (need to byo soaps etc)

Kitchen is modern and clean and would use if needed.
The long couch transforms into a double bed which was surprisingly comfortable. Luxurious bedding donnas and pillows.
Excellent value and location being a short walk to bus/ferry terminal.

A beautiful old wooden mansion, with matching interior, outside the city centre. Just a handful of rooms, very comfortable. The staff are very friendly, human and helpful. And breakfast was very sumptuous. Really, what’s not to like?
