Rita and her husband were wonderful hosts, even letting us borrow several things that were not initially included in the booking. The place is lovely, full of character and with plenty of space. The kitchen had most of the things we needed, and the bathroom was modern and everything worked well.

The property was set in a peaceful rural location, which was just what we were looking for. The property is a large old farmhouse and it is a bit of a rabbit warren, with rooms going off from other rooms - it was very quirky. It was clean and comfortable, and was well equipped with everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our very short stay and would not hesitate to return

The ability to rent e-bikes, we rented two e-bikes for the day and cycled to Doesburg, loved it.
Regarding the question above regarding transport: we travelled from Doesburg to the Europarc, we couldn't get a taxi because they weren't around the area when we needed them, so we took the bus to Dieren then walked to the accommodation via the ferry. Our only concern (not realising there was a ferry) was that it wouldn't be running by the time we got there, around 5 pm. Luckily they did, and we walked the rest of the way. It would help to have a map available for people on foot with short cuts, as Google Maps sent us via the longer route.

We received a very warm welcome and highly recommend Villa Wanrooy. Our host was most helpful assisting us in many ways during our all too short stay. Being adjacent to numerous restaurants is a great advantage. Our bicycles were stored securely which we appreciated.
I received a very warm welcome from all the staff at Villa Wanrooy upon my arrival. They really make you feel like part of the family. The room was clean and beautifully decorated with all the necessities available. The hotel itself is very relaxing and my only regret is that I was only able to stay for one night. I am also very grateful for the delicious vegan breakfast that they provided at short notice. What a feast! I will be visiting Doetinchem again in the future and will definitely be staying at Villa Wanrooy.
