As a large family of 27, we had a wonderful time at Kimin's Kinabalu Retreat! The house was large enough to accommodate our group and we had all the necessary items (blankets, kitchen items, shampoo, body soap mattresses, pillows, etc) to remain comfortable throughout our trip. The hosts met us right at the house and gave us a helpful tour of the facilities. There was karaoke, lots of games, and ample space for everyone to enjoy!

The 'Longhouse' was an attempt to recreate a village feel. The wide veranda, traditional decorations and split bamboo construction could have been a traditional Malay village.
The villa is very spacious and we can see Mount KK from the balcony when the weather is good.
The kitchen is fully equipped: rice cooker, oven, kettle, glasses and bowls, kitchen tools, cutlery, etc...

There are 2 bedrooms: one with a queen bed and the other with two bunk beds.
We love blankets because they keep us warm at night. Once off the blanket we felt cold.
Breakfast was good and portions generous. OMG the view from the homestay is so worth it. Even the more luxurious and multiple times more expensive resort round the bend couldn't enjoy the view of Mount Kinabalu as this homestay provided. For context we were driving a rented Bezza, 3 people in the car with 4 luggage bags in the boot and we could made the drive up. I would opt for a stronger car next time.
It is in a village but relatively close to the town area. There is nearby surau. At night, it's quite peaceful & cool. The unit comes with 2 rooms. The kitchen & living area are well sized, equip with all basic necessities like gas stove, rice cooker, kettle and a TV and an audio set. Parking space is very adequate. Air conditioning is above expectation. Ideal for a family stay needing space without burning a hole in your pocket.

The homestay has nice rooms, facilities and services. The host is really helpful and friendly.There are a few attractions nearby such as Arnab Village, Magical Garden, Tambiau Forest Hill, Kopi Apai and Cigar making at Kg Lipasu.

Best Scenery of Mount Kinabalu, 300m only to Dairy Farm, So many playgrounds for kids. Staffs were helpful when asked to change rooms. Great breakfast at café beside the villa.
