Rio Lagartos is a fishing village that is refreshingly immune to tourism except for nature tours. The location was excellent. Both Victor and Ariel were wonderful taking us on boat rides and nature watching tours. Ariel's English was pretty good and he was always available to help. I really enjoyed being with him. It's really close to the restaurants and the one next door has a fabulous sunset views. I enjoyed just sitting down by the dock and watching the water. The deck has nice chairs for reading.
Location, staff…the vibe of this village is amazing and you really feel disconnected from the rest of the world. The staff was also so nice and accommodating.

The hotel is in the best place in the village. Its just on the cost of the lagoon. We had a room with a big window and a balcony. The view is completely stunning!
The restaurant next to the hotel serves very delicious food and margaritas.
Nice breakfast. Wonderful balcony overlooking the water and village activities. Room was spacious with nice bedding. Safe and comfortable - My kids loved it.
Beachfront location, rooms looking out to sea, wonderful tour of the mangroves arranged by the hotel with a lovely tour host. We didn’t have the highest expectations as it was very quiet, but we were blown away by the sights on our tour and the hospitality of our hosts. Thank you!
I love staying at the Hotel Villa de Pescadores each and every time that I travel to Rio Lagartos. The hotel is very clean and the staff is warm and friendly. The location is right on the shore of the Ria Lagartos and is very close to marinas and restaurants. The view is beautiful, with flamingos usually being visible from here during the right season.
A very good option for a small village.
